Cumberland CID Work

As a Planning & Projects Intern with the Cumberland Community Improvement District, I worked on a variety of capital improvement and planning initiatives. My responsibilities included developing ArcGIS Online applications, creating several maps including updating the boundary map of the district, cross-referencing Cobb County zoning and development data, and supporting both technical documentation and public engagement.

In addition to managing current planning tasks such as zoning evaluation and compliance review, I contributed to long-range efforts like the CID’s Livable Centers Initiative-funded placemaking study and the Paces Mill Park Rehabilitation, which involved collaboration with the National Park Service and public stakeholders. These experiences have given me a detailed understanding of Cobb County’s planning context, regulatory environment, and community needs.
